Terms & Conditions
Turnaround Time
All keepsakes are handmade with care and completed in strict date order.
Please allow up to 12 months for your order to be completed. Some orders may be completed sooner, while others may take slightly longer depending on:
• The size and complexity of your order
• Resin mould and material availability
• Seasonal demand
I will not rush any piece to ensure the highest quality result.
⸻
Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
Payments are then taken in two stages:
• 50% of your total balance is due once I receive your flowers (before drying begins)
• Final 50% is due when I’m ready to begin working on your order (after drying is complete and layouts are shared)
Please note: No work will begin until the full balance is paid.
⸻
Communication
Due to the detailed and time-sensitive nature of flower preservation, I will only be in touch at the following key stages:
1. Confirmation of Flower Receipt – with your first invoice
2. When I’m Ready to Begin Your Order – layout photos and final invoice
3. When Your Order Is Complete – final photos and confirmation of postage details
You are welcome to check in at any time, but please know that I may not always be able to provide updates between stages.
⸻
Postage & Shipping
Postage is invoiced at checkout based on your location and chosen delivery method.
You will be contacted before dispatch to confirm your shipping address and ensure you’re ready to receive your keepsake.
Colour Correction
Where possible, colour correcting is included as part of the process for pressed frames and box frames, helping to restore vibrancy and balance natural fading that can occur during drying.
Please note:
For resin preservation, colour correction is more complex and labour-intensive. Therefore, a colour correction fee will apply if you choose this option for your resin flowers. This will be discussed with you in advance if it’s required.
UV Protection & Colour Fading
I use high-quality UV protection products in both my frames and resin, but it’s important to understand that UV exposure can still affect real flowers and resin over time.
• Pressed and box frames include UV-protective glass, but direct sunlight can still cause fading.
• Resin pieces contain a UV stabiliser, but yellowing may still occur over time.
While every effort is made to protect your piece, I cannot guarantee if or when UV-related fading or yellowing will occur, as this depends on environmental factors beyond my control.
To help prolong the appearance of your keepsake:
• Keep it out of direct sunlight
• Avoid displaying near heat sources or windows
• Accept that some colour change is a natural part of preserving real flowers
Resin Disclaimer – Bubbles, Swirls & Conditions
All resin pieces are hand-poured, and due to the nature of the material, minor air bubbles, swirls, or surface variations may occur. These are not considered faults – they are simply part of what makes each keepsake one-of-a-kind.
Resin is highly sensitive to environmental conditions and cannot be poured in cold, humid, or overly warm weather. Because of this, pouring is done only when conditions are ideal, which may occasionally delay progress on your order. This ensures the best possible quality and clarity for your keepsake.
Please note:
• Bubbles or small swirls may be visible
• Slight surface texture or variation is normal
• Timing of resin work depends on weather conditions – this can affect turnaround times
By placing an order, you agree to the handmade nature of resin and understand that natural variations may occur.
Flower Arrival, Suitability & Limitations
• We strongly recommend sending your flowers via Next Day Delivery at the first available opportunity.
Flowers preserve best when they arrive as fresh as possible.
• It is the client’s responsibility to ensure flowers arrive in the best possible condition. You will receive detailed packaging and shipping instructions, which must be followed exactly to achieve the best results.
We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused during transit by third-party couriers.
• We will dry the number of flowers needed for your order and often prepare a few extras in case some do not dry well. Leftover flowers cannot be returned.
• If you have chosen a smaller item (e.g. a 10cm block or letter) and supplied larger blooms, we may need to deconstruct the flowers to make them fit. In some cases, I’ll discuss alternative options with you if deconstruction isn’t suitable.
• By placing your order, you acknowledge and accept that flowers can change colour and shape during drying.
This is a natural and expected part of the process:
• White may become cream
• Yellow can deepen to orange
• Pink may shift to purple
• Red can dry as burgundy
• Flowers may also change again once in resin, sometimes developing transparent patches or darker tones. This is usually due to natural bruising, moisture content, or oils from handling (e.g. between picking, bouquet prep, and the wedding day).
Where possible, we will avoid using obviously damaged flowers, but some effects only appear during or after resin curing.
• Proteas often cannot be used whole due to size but may be broken down and used in part.
• Succulents do not dry well, and berries typically turn black. If needed, artificial alternatives can be discussed for specific elements.
Return Postage & Packaging
Postage and packaging are charged separately.
Shipping costs are based on the weight and insured value of your order, and are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery – Guaranteed Next Day.
Your final postage cost will be confirmed and invoiced alongside your completed order.
You will be provided with a tracking number or proof of postage receipt once your item has been dispatched. While delays are rare, please be aware:
• I will assist where possible in chasing delayed items, but cannot open a claim with Royal Mail until 30 days have passed
• No refunds or replacements can be issued during this period
• During peak seasons (summer weddings, Christmas, etc.), delivery may take slightly longer despite Royal Mail’s delivery aims
Please ensure someone is available to sign for your item upon delivery.
Payments
Payments are taken in three stages:
• 1st Instalment: £25 non-refundable deposit to secure your booking
• 2nd Instalment: 50% of the remaining balance is due once your flowers are received
• 3rd Instalment: The final 50% balance is due when your order is ready to move into the resin stage – you’ll be contacted via email or messenger when this is due
All payments are to be made via BACS transfer – payment details will be provided at the relevant stage.
Please note:
• Work on your resin piece will not begin until the final balance is paid
• If payment is not made when requested, your order start date will be delayed
• If no payment is received after two reminders, your order will be moved to the bottom of the production queue
By placing an order, you agree to this staged payment process and understand that delays in payment will affect your turnaround time.
Cancellations
• All deposits are non-refundable
• The 50% balance due once your flowers are received becomes non-refundable after drying has begun, as time and materials will have already been used
• If your wedding or event date changes unexpectedly, I’m happy to reschedule your booking free of charge, subject to availability
• If your event is cancelled entirely, a credit note may be offered. This can be used toward non-preservation items, including custom resin pieces or memorial keepsakes
• Please note that custom orders are non-refundable and non-returnable under any circumstances, as they are made to order
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
